About the Author:
John Schirrippa was born in Methodist hospital, Brooklyn, New York on
August 24, 1982. When he was 10, his family moved out to East Hampton
to enjoy the rural life that eastern Long Island had to offer.
Senior year in high school, John and his best friend, Dave, started a ska group called
High Noon.
With college on the horizon, High Noon's run was sweet, but short.
After a series of local shows and a 4-track demo, the band was never
heard from again.
John received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Mary Washington College.
In the fall of 2004, he was hired as a defense contractor for the
Department of Defense and is currently supervising a correspondence
office in Arlington, Virginia.
'What I Do' began as a series of articles entitled, 'Johnny's Ink.' The series ran in a Long Island newspaper,
The Montauk Pioneer.
'What I Do' is based upon his seven years of experience waiting tables.
John enjoys writing, scuba diving, road trips, and most recently...jumping out of planes at 14,000 feet.
'What I Do' is his first book.
